When I give a talk on marketing, I often ask this question, “What jobs in America make the most money?”
I usually get answers like:
And I follow that question up with this one,”What do they have in common?” In other words, what do these people do that makes them more valuable?
Here’s the answer: These people either entertain us or provide important advice.
As a society, we’ve put a premium on these jobs by paying them more than anyone else.
And I know what you are thinking. What does this have to do with selling real estate?
So try this on for size.
If you want people to value you more, then you need to do both in your marketing messages.
You need to entertain them with stories. And demonstrate that you are the best person to give them real estate advice. Do this the right way and you’ll be picking up more checks at the closing table.
If you are ready to take the next step, then you have two options.
